Our Vision
Village School is an interactive and inclusive learning community. Within our community, we share responsibility to foster a caring environment in which we all achieve our personal best. This achievement is an ever-evolving process which allows each of us to meet the demands of a constantly changing world with confidence.
Our student population consists of intermediate elementary students (grades 3 - 5) who are in a transitioning state of social, emotional and cognitive development. This transition is seen as growth toward academic and personal independence.
Village School is a place where we nurture positive self-esteem and recognize the importance of individual learning styles. As members of this community, we allow each other to grow and change in a tolerant and confident manner. We are committed to promoting this change and growth by fostering an environment in which innovation, risk taking, active inquiry and self-reflection in learning are encouraged. Each day is an opportunity for everyone to find success.
Looking at ourselves and the world through questioning eyes teaches us all to continue the pursuit of knowledge according to the desires and needs of each individual. With a shared sense of responsibility, tolerance for differences and mutual respect, there exists a freedom to make choices and shape a promising future.
